Elder Sunni Hill has been on a healing journey for over 30 years . Sunni has worked within the Aboriginal community ever since graduating from highschool. Sunni worked as a Family Support Worker for Vancouver Native Health where she was co-located at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House. Sunni has volunteered as a Community Council member for the Vancouver Aboriginal Transformative Justice Society, and since retiring she continues to do this important work as an Elder. She is also very honored to teach the “Seven Sacred Teachings” for the Spirit of the Children Society in New Westminster and to work as an Elder for the Ministry of Children & Family in New West. She is a strong and resilient Haida/Tsimpsian woman from a village called Masset on Haida Gwaii and is very happy to be who she is today.
